Flybe, established in 1979 as Jersey European Airways, is today Europe’s largest regional low-cost airline. Following the successful acquisition of BA Connect in March 2007, the route network is 70% domestic UK, 20% European business and 10% European leisure destinations.

Flybe’s $3 billion investment programme, and the phasing out of older aircraft, means Flybe will fly one of the most environmentally sensitive fleets in the world, exclusively comprised of Embraer 195 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

The new larger Flybe will after acquisition have the following dimensions:

• 12 Countries, 167 routes, 77 aircraft
• 24 UK airports, 30 European airports
• 7 million passengers in 2007
• £500m in revenues

Flybe currently employs over 3000 staff at locations throughout the UK, Ireland and France. With its vastly growing network Flybe remains firmly an Airline Partner with Atlantic Flight Training. Flybe operates an established recommendation scheme for students training with AFT and recognises the quality of AFT’s graduate Pilots.

Subject to criteria, performance and attitude during training, the scheme is open to students who complete in full:

• AFT’s Ab Initio ATPL (Frozen)
Course
or
• Minimum of ATPL Theory, CPL, MEP, MEIR, MCC and JOC
consecutive modular courses

Recommended candidates are subject to Flybe interviews and assessments.

Registering for a course with AFT does not guarantee you an airline interview and piloting job.
