Atlantic Flight Training (AFT) is amongst the first of the UK’s Flight Training Organisations to obtain the new UK Border Agency licence to sponsor international student visas. Under revised regulations recently introduced by the UK Border Agency, AFT had to first obtain formal accreditation, in AFT’s case from the British Accreditation Council (BAC), prior to submitting its Tier 4 licence application as a fully accredited training provider.
Richard King, CEO, paid tribute to AFT’s staff and their collective professionalism which ensured AFT satisfied all the accreditation and licence requirements at the first attempt. King added AFT’s submission was further helped by the fact AFT, being an approved JAA organisation, is subject to regular compliance checks by the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority. AFT has already received positive comment from both students and parents regarding their new credentials, reinforcing an already strong market reputation.
King also wanted to recognise the assistance received from both the UK Border Agency and the BAC during the application process. Working closely with both agencies ensured AFT fully understood the requirements and King praised the staff involved for their advice.
